Before you prepare for the next school year, you should clean up from the last one. This includes cleaning out your pencil case and your backpack, organizing or throwing away old papers, cleaning your study space and room, and removing unnecessary files and photos from your phone and computer. Number two, set intentions. Choose your priorities for the next school year. This could include academics, sport, personal relationships, mental health, or anything else that you find important. Then, based on these priorities, set your goals for the next school year! I’ll link some articles in the description about how to set effective goals. Then, you should choose the habits that you’ll need to build to achieve these goals. I’ll also link some articles about how to build habits. Number three, plan. You should set up as much of your planning system beforehand as possible. That way you can save your time during the stressful school year. I use a bullet journal so I’ve written in the future log all the events that I already know about like school breaks, or when finals are. Number four, set routines. This doesn’t need to be too specific just think about what you want to get done every morning, every afternoon, and every evening. I’ll be posting videos about my own morning, after school, and night routines later during the school year so stay tuned if you’re interested! Number five, prepare academically. This doesn’t mean you have to take a summer class or learn everything in advance. I would recommend finding resources for the subjects that you’re taking next year. This could include websites, prep books, or textbooks. I reblog a lot of resources on my Tumblr, and they’re all tagged by subjects. I’ll link my Tumblr navigation in the description to make it easier for you to find your resources. Number 6, get motivated One thing that really motivates me is visualizing myself reaching my goals. However, if that doesn’t work for you, you can also try some motivational quotes. I don’t mean to keep plugging my Tumblr, but I reblog a lot of motivational quotes there. I’ll also link my motivation tag in the description. It really helps to display motivational quotes or reminders of your goals in a prominent location. For example, you could make a motivation wall next to your study space or change your phone and desktop wallpapers to motivational quotes. I hope you guys found this video helpful! When are you going back to school or are you still in school? I personally go back to school on August 17th. I upload new videos every Monday and Friday, and I’ll link my tumblr and instagram in the description if you want to check them out! See you next time!!
