Trooper with history of discipline suspended seven days for Kingsport crash

GIVING AN AREA TROOPER A FIFTH CHANCE. OUR COMMUNITY WATCHDOG FOUND OUT, THE TROOPER WHO CAUSED A KINGSPORT CRASH LAST YEAR KEPT HER JOB. STATE RECORDS SHOW T-H-P SUSPENDED TROOPER ASHLEE HILL SEVEN DAYS WITHOUT PAY AFTER THIS CRASH. WE REQUESTED A COPY OF THAT SUSPENSION. THIS IS NOW THE FOURTH TIME SHE’S FACED DISCIPLINARY ACTION IN JUST HER FIRST TWO YEARS ON THE JOB. JUNE 2014…ASHLEE HILL GRADUATES AS PART OF THIS CLASS OF TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL CADETS. IN THE TIME SINCE, SHE’S COLLECTED A WARNING AND THREE SUSPENSIONS…THREE OF THOSE PUNISHMENTS FOR T-H-P-RELATED CRASHES. ONE OF HER SUSPENSIONS FOR REPORTEDLY SENDING A SUPERVISOR SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE TEXT MESSAGES, SOME OF WHICH INCLUDED PICTURES OF HER EITHER PARITALLY CLOTHED OR NUDE. (TROTT 00:16:49) “WHEN PEOPLE DON’T FOLLOW POLICY OR VIOLATE THE LAW JUST LIKE SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT, WE HAVE TO POLICE OURSELVES AND WE DO THAT VERY EFFECTIVELY.” THAT’S WHAT COLONEL TRACY TROTT TOLD US LAST YEAR WHEN WE ASKED HIM ABOUT T-H-P’S DISCIPLINARY PROCESS. HE SAID A FULL-TIME INVESTIGATION UNIT WORKS TO HOLD HIS DEPARTMENT ACCOUNTABLE. (TROTT 00:16:10) “JUST LIKE IN GENERAL PUBLIC, PEOPLE DON’T DO THE RIGHT THING ALL THE TIME AND WE HAVE TO POLICE OURSELVES WHEN WE DON’T DO THE RIGHT THING, BUT THANKFULLY, WE DON’T HAVE A LOT OF CASES.” (TROTT 16:34) “WE OCCASIONALLY HAVE SERIOUS CASES WHERE WE HAVE TO TAKE JOB ACTION SUCH AS SUSPENSIONS AND DISMISSALS, BUT THANKFULLY IT’S NOT A BIG NUMBER.” HILL HAS GIVEN THE INVESTIGATION UNIT PLENTY TO CONSIDER…MOST RECENTLY IN APRIL 2016 WHEN SHE CAUSED THIS CRASH ON JOHN B. DENNIS HIGHWAY…AFTER PULLING INTO THE PATH OF ANOTHER CAR WHILE FOLLOWING SOMEONE ELSE FOR SUSPICION OF DRUG TRAFFICKING. A JUDGE FOUND HILL GUILTY OF FAILURE TO USE DUE CARE AND THEN AGREED TO EXPUNGE THE CRIME FROM HER RECORD AFTER SHE PAID A $25 FINE. T-H-P SUSPENDED HER FOR SEVEN DAYS…REMINDING HER SHE’S EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST STANDARDS…AND WARNING ANY FUTURE INCIDENTS MAY RESULT IN A MORE SEVE DISICIPLINARY ACTION. HAVING SERVED HER SUSPENSION, T-H-P REPORTS SHE’S NOW BACK AT WORK AS A ROAD OFFICER ASSIGNED TO GREENE COUNTY. NATE MORABITO,NEWS CHANNEL 11, IN YOUR CORNER. WE AGAIN SHARED OUR CONTACT INFORMATION WITH HILL’S SUPERVISORS IN CASE SHE WANTED TO SHARE HER SIDE OF THE STORY. WE ALSO REACHED OUT TO HER ATTORNEY.

  1. Moral of that story is, if you see a THP vehicle…stay the hell out of its way, there's a good chance that a crazy woman is behind the wheel.

  2. Read Between the Lines! She was reprimanded once for sending sexual harassment letters and other stuff and now given how many opportunities my questions is is she the police whore just asking a question .here?

  3. That's the Tennessee Trooper whore. To keep her job she has to put out for her job. I wonder how many Troopers bang her? She's doing her fair share of banging up the cars. State trooper cars are worth what 100 thousand dollars? That's better than a prostitute. And she doesn't look that great either. She must have undisclosed talents.

  4. Trooper Ashlee Hill she has progressive discipline fourth times, she's constantly being insubordinate. Trooper Hill is showing a pattern of being discipline to me that's grounds for termination this law enforcement job is not for her she's not taking her oath of office seriously.

  5. I disagree with you been able to police yourselves ! If you can please yourselves , why can't We the People police ourselves .

  6. This guy said we have to police ourselves? Any officer should be level headed enough to abide by the laws you enforce with a fucking gun.

  7. One when they don't get paid and get a couple of days off their Union pays them time and a half make sure they're well compensated and they just take a long vacation

  8. If a citizen had been involved in three crashes in two years, they would lose their license, be heavily fined, and maybe even face a suspended jail sentence.

  9. I mean 7 times is pretty fucking insane or ridiculous, You would at least by the 3rd time she would of learnt her lesson or be fired, If for example you work in an office and your boss found out you was sending nudes to co-workers you'd most likely get fired straight away. So she is getting let of the hook cause in any normal situation with me or you we'd be fired on the spot no questions asked or if we caused a crash we'd be thrown in jail and a big ass fine, She caused 5 crashes and on one she received a $25 fine and suspended for 7 days without pay, I mean come on open your eyes abit more. I see one rule for one and another rule for me or you, Double standards right. I mean shit if it's this easy to get away with shit or get let of the hook lightly i might join the police myself and get paid $80,000 (Guestimate) a year.

  10. And there’s the problem – “We have to police ourselves “. Sure. I can see his asshole, it’s called his mouth.

  11. She should have been terminated. If a male would have sent the texts he would be fired and sued by the female.

  12. What a joke. What if her careless ass kills someone? Then what? They gonna investigate themselves again and clear themselves of any wrong doing? Peace officer should not have this high of job security for fucking up so damn much

  13. These pork eating sweaty hogs , can't stand these stoopid PEOPLE who PUT THEMSELVES ABOVE US., UNCONSTITUTIONAL BASTARDS. WHO DESTROY THAT WHICH USE TO BE A DECENT NATION , AT ONE TIME NOT ANYMORE THO😲😓🤔

  14. Man…how many times do i have to see that mealy mouthed colonel trying to talk his way out of his shit agency's performance?
This like the 3rd video I've seen of him doing his loving grandfather act, lol…

  15. That bitch is dangerous !!!
She should had to pay for all accidents and damages out of her own bank account and then jailed

  16. A male Trooper who would have done all of this would have been gone a long time ago. She is still on the job because she is a she.

  17. So TN is one of those states that charge you criminally for causing a minor accident? Geez.
I can understand being DUI or acting in such a way that causes fatalities, but just a typical accident?

  18. Brother said what ? Buzz driving is drunk driving, just google drunk speeding cops and judges and see for yourself. Liberty and Justice for All
